BIOGRAPHY
Hosny “Hoz” Franck is a dynamic drummer, multi-instrumentalist, and classically trained musician whose versatility and musical maturity have made him one of the most exciting young performers in today’s music scene.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Hoz discovered music almost as soon as he could walk. Inspired by gospel music and the Salvation Army brass tradition, he began playing drums in church at just four years old before expanding his musicianship to include bass guitar and trombone. That early foundation developed into a lifelong passion for rhythm, groove, and musical expression.
After studying music at Indian River State College, where he served as the principal drummer for the school’s premier jazz ensemble, Hoz earned a full scholarship to the prestigious Musicians Institute in California. There he immersed himself in jazz, fusion, Latin, gospel, R&B, hip-hop, and contemporary performance while refining the versatility that has become one of his greatest strengths.
His professional career has included performances with numerous Los Angeles artists before returning to Florida to continue his jazz studies at the University of Central Florida under renowned educators Jeff Rupert and Marty Morell while performing with the UCF Flying Horse Big Band.
Hoz later toured nationally as drum technician for Henry McDaniel IV before stepping into the spotlight himself, completing two national tours behind platinum-selling hip-hop artist Rod Wave. Those experiences sharpened his professionalism, endurance, and ability to perform at the highest level night after night.
Today, Hoz brings that same energy, precision, and musical versatility to Brothers After All. His powerful groove, deep pocket, and instinctive feel complete the band’s dual-drum percussion section while honoring the spirit of one of rock’s most celebrated rhythm sections.
WHY I PLAY
I’ve always believed the drums are more than an instrument, they’re the heartbeat that connects every musician on stage. Whether I’m playing a subtle groove or driving a high-energy jam, my goal is always the same: serve the music first.
Growing up in church, studying jazz, and performing in so many different styles taught me that every genre has something valuable to teach. Those experiences shaped the drummer I am today and remind me that great music is built on listening, feel, and communication.
Playing the music of the Allman Brothers is a unique challenge because every performance is alive. No two songs are ever exactly the same, and that freedom allows every musician to contribute something special while staying true to the spirit of the music.
When the band locks into a groove and the audience becomes part of the experience, that’s when I know we’ve created something unforgettable.

WHY THIS GEAR?
The right equipment should disappear once the music starts. I choose instruments that respond naturally, inspire confidence, and allow me to express every dynamic from the quietest groove to the biggest musical moments.
My Gretsch drums provide warmth and character, while REMO drumheads deliver consistency and tone every night. Zildjian cymbals give me the musical colors I need, and Vic Firth sticks allow every note to feel balanced and controlled. Combined with DW hardware, the entire setup is built for reliability, versatility, and performance.
Whether I’m playing jazz, gospel, rock, or extended improvisation, I need equipment that reacts as quickly as the music changes. My focus is never on the gear, it’s on creating the best possible performance for the band and the audience.
